Humanitarian Parole  

Humanitarian Parole allows individuals to enter the U.S. temporarily for urgent humanitarian reasons, such as medical emergencies or threats to life to themselves or a close family member in the United States that is an American citizen or resident. To qualify, applicants must submit Form I-131, Application for Travel Document, along with a detailed explanation of their situation, supporting documents, and evidence of how their entry will not burden the U.S. healthcare system. Approval is discretionary and typically granted for a limited time.
